She never missed an opportunity to give back to others. Molly passed away unexpectedly in May of 2004 while working to establish a research center at The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego. We are pleased to be able to support her efforts by contributing a dollar from each bottle sold of our Cabernet Sauvignon to the research fund established in her name.Leslie & Molly traveled all over the world together sharing many adventures as co-workers at GTE in the early 1990s. She had a unique gift to motivate people to achieve their very best and she was a tireless mentor to many as they built their careers. The funds will directly contribute to research to help families deal with the chronic disease of diabetes and the life-long commitment represented by organ transplantation. To order the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon download the online order form. |
Our WinesCURRENT RELEASES2008 MALBEC Washington Malbec continues to grow in popularity and William Church has lead the way producing award winning Malbec every year. This limited offering of 2008 Malbec is truly special because it is sourced entirely from Gamache Vineyards in the Columbia Valley. One of the oldest vineyards in the state, this higher elevation site with plenty of heat is producing excellent Malbec that only seems to get better and better. This wine begins with a deep magenta color and inviting aromas of black pepper & blackberry with violet notes. Followed by dense layers of black fruit & blueberry that include hints of vanilla and smokey spice perfect for rich, hearty dishes or anything off the grill. $30/bottle 180 Cases produced GOLD MEDAL 2010 Seattle Wine Awards Voted 2010 "Wine to Watch" Washington Wine Report Readers Survery -------------------------------------------------------------------- 2009 VIOGNIER Our award winning Viognier has gained a reputation for its beautiful aromatics, rich flavors & incredible balance. The heat in the summer of 2009 resulted in a concentrated wine full of ripe tropical and honeysuckle notes and rich flavors of pear & apricot. It’s the perfect summer deck wine that has the acidity to keep it fresh and inviting while less than 1% residual sugar rounds out the flavors. A long slow fermentation helps retain the beautiful aromatics this grape is known for. Everything you’ve come to expect from our Viognier and more. Serve with gourmet cheeses, seafood or try it with your favorite spicy Asian dish. $21/bottle 240 cases produced GOLD MEDAL - 2010 Seattle Wine Awards Silver Medal Northwest Wine Summit 2008 BISHOP'S BLEND Each year we make Bishop's Blend with the idea of creating a delicious blend that is a terrific value and perfect for any occasion. Enjoy it with friends! $20/bottle; 750 cases produced 2007 SUR LA MER BORDEAUX BLEND We thought it only made sense to name our Bordeaux blend Sur La Mer which means “on the sea” after the seaport city of La Rochelle in western France where Leslie was born. This classic Bordeaux blend consists of 40% Cabernet, 20% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 10% Petit Verdot. Refined & elegant the black & red fruit flavors and smooth round texture are superbly balanced with a plush mouth-feel & nice concentration through the finish. Aging for 18 months in French & American oak and an additional 12 months in the bottle adds to the complexity and depth found in this wine. $28/bottle 89 points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Report GOLD MEDAL 2010 Seattle Wine Awards Silver Medal Northwest Wine Summit 250 cases produced 2007 CABERNET SAUVIGNON The 2007 Cabernet is 90% pure, silky Cabernet fruit from three of our favorite vineyards and 10% deep purple Petit Verdot. The funds will be used for basic research at the Scripps Research Institute to help those living with diabetes & organ transplants. $29/bottle 250 cases produced; release date 3/13 & 14, 2010 2007 YAKIMA VALLEY SYRAH This is our third vintage using Dineen Vineyard fruit which we love for it intense, bold flavors and inky dark color. We leave the grapes hanging on the vine a little longer until they’ve achieved optimum ripeness then co-ferment with Viognier skins to add floral notes to the nose. This year we added a small amount of Malbec from the Wahluke Slope to add to the fruit characteristics that perfectly balance the dense core of smoke and spice. Harmonious flavors of blackberry and raspberry with excellent concentration and elegant tannins create this beautiful expression of Washington Syrah. 211 cases produced - $23/bottle Silver Medal - Washington State Wine Competition 2007 "2 SPIRES" SYRAH/CABERNET BLEND We’ve carefully blended 62% Stillwater Creek Syrah with 38% Conner Lee and Dineen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon to create our “2 Spires” blend. The inspiration for the name combines the majestic spires from church architecture with a blend that consists of 2 wines; Cabernet and Syrah. Rich, dense & powerful this wine is full of juicy black cherry and blackberry with caramel notes on the palate. The concentrated flavors give way to structured tannins and a long, lingering finish that makes this a wine that can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 8 years. 204 cases produced - $28/bottle Gold Medal 2009 Northwest Wine Summit Silver Medal 2009 Seattle Wine Awards 2nd Place overall winner at Sexy Syrah 2010 2008 BAD HABIT Do you have a bad habit?
